About GradeGuard
GradeGuard is a refurbished-electronics business run out of a physical shop in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. We buy used phones, laptops and desktop PCs, test them on a bench, grade them against a written standard, and sell them with the test results printed on the page. Nothing we sell is new, and we never describe it as new.
The shop came first, the website second
Most refurbished sellers in India are a listing account with a warehouse behind it. We are the other way round. The stock sits at Shop No. 123, 1st Floor, Regency Road, Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow 226010. You can walk in, ask for a specific unit by its listing, and inspect it before any money changes hands. The website exists so that the same unit can be bought from Coimbatore or Guwahati on the same terms.
That is also why the catalogue is small. We list what is physically on the shelf.
What we publish that others do not
- Whether the display is original, an OEM-grade replacement, or aftermarket — and the month it was fitted.
- The named flaws on the grade, written as sentences, not hidden behind a word like “excellent”.
- The IMEI of the exact handset dispatched to you, on your invoice and in your account. It is never published on a public page, because a public IMEI can be used by anyone to file a malicious CEIR block against your phone.
- The date the unit passed its 41-point check, and the initials of the person who signed it off.
Compare that against a typical listing, which says “Refurbished — Like New, Excellent Condition” and nothing else. Those are adjectives. A named flaw is something you can check for yourself the minute you unbox.
Where our stock comes from
Three sources: individual sellers who bring devices into the Lucknow shop, corporate and institutional lots at end of lease, and trade purchases from refurbishing suppliers. The IMEI of the exact handset we dispatch is printed on your invoice, so you can run it against the Government of India CEIR database yourself (ceir.gov.in, or by SMS KYM to 14422). If it comes back blacklisted, duplicated or already reported in use, refuse the parcel or tell us within seven days and we replace it at our cost.
What we are honest about
- We do not run a repair bench. Warranty work is carried out by the supplier who refurbished the unit or by an independent service partner we appoint. We manage the logistics and we stay accountable for the outcome, but we do not open your device ourselves. The Warranty Policy spells out exactly what that means for a claim.
- A refurbished device is a used device. Its cosmetic condition is graded, not perfect, and its battery has a history. Our grading standard tells you precisely how much cosmetic wear each grade allows.
- We are a sole proprietorship, not a company, and we do not pretend to be a national chain.
How buying works
Cash on delivery only, across all of India. Free delivery everywhere, with no COD fee, no handling fee and no minimum order. The price on the product page is the amount you hand over at the door — there is no second number anywhere in the process. Full detail is in the Shipping & Delivery Policy.
Every unit carries a 6-month warranty and a 7-day replacement window from the date of delivery.
