Apple MacBook Air 15-inch M5 16GB/512GB — Midnight (Refurbished)

A refurbished 15-inch MacBook Air with the M5 chip, 16GB of unified memory and a 512GB SSD — the Air for people who work with two windows open side by side and want the bigger 15.3-inch screen. Every unit crosses our 41-point bench before it is listed, and the cosmetic grade is defined on our published scale rather than left to an adjective.

On a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina panel the flaw that matters is uneven backlighting across a wider sheet, so the screen is inspected on a mid-grey background — grey shows pressure marks and bleed that white hides. A dark finish shows handling more than a light one, so the lid and palm rest are checked in raking light rather than under a flat lamp. Every port is tested with a device actually plugged into it, the keyboard is typed key by key, and the speakers are run at volume. macOS is erased and reinstalled, and we confirm the Mac is signed out of the previous owner’s Apple Account with Activation Lock off — a locked Mac is a paperweight. The serial number is printed on your invoice.
